FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif.– (Dec. 5, 2011) – Equus Products, Inc. and Innova Electronics Corporation are pleased to announce that the companies have been named among the 2011 Orange County Register Top Workplaces. The listing of companies that provide their employees with a great work environment is derived by an independent survey conducted by Workplace Dynamics asking employees about their opinions on direction, execution, career, conditions, managers, pay and benefits.
"We are honored to receive this award because it's positive reinforcement coming directly from the employees who dedicate their time and energy day in and day out to helping us meet our goals," said Ieon C. Chen, CEO of Equus and Innova. "We have always believed that providing a positive work environment, even during a tough economy, results in high quality products and services for our retail customers and end users. This award confirms that we are making a positive impact for the industry and for our employees."
Chen adds that as many companies have downsized to weather the economic storm, Equus and Innova have been steadily growing, adding new positions and opportunities for advancement. The companies develop and distribute high tech products and information that help consumers and professionals diagnose and repair cars and trucks. These products have been in high demand, particularly as the average vehicle age inches toward 11 years, and vehicles become more complex.
A small, family-owned operation, Equus and Innova jointly employ more than 80 people out of their Fountain Valley, Calif.-based offices. Turnover is low at this top workplace, with an average length of employment over six years, and several employees having been with the company for over 20 years. Some of the many benefits that make Equus and Innova top workplaces include medical and dental insurance; a quarterly awards program that provides employees with practical gift cards for going above and beyond their job description; training and personal growth opportunities; fun holiday parties; compensation for securing a U.S. patent; and more.
